WOSMIP IX - THANK YOU!
We were delighted to have you join us at WOSMIP and hope that you found the workshop stimulating and enjoyable. As you may know, WOSMIP was designed to bring two disparate communities together to explore issues associated with airborne radioactive backgrounds arising from isotope production and other man-made nuclear processes. We found early on that while the communities had much to learn from each other, soon a common language and kinship was formed, and we hope to continue developing productive working relationships and exploring this important issue.
Our goal was for WOSMIP to be viewed as more of a workshop and less of a conference. Although we had a number of presentations and posters, we also hope that discussions were able to occur organically during both formal sessions and at the group social events. Each participant’s unique viewpoints and ideas have added enormous value to the entire WOSMIP experience.
It goes without saying that we were thrilled to have the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission (CCHEN) host WOSMIP IX. We hope each of you enjoyed the presentations, the collaboration, your colleagues, and Santiago. We thank you for a great workshop!
